#KnowYourFacts: About GCA’s Founding Team:

Georgia Community Alliance was founded in May of 2026 by Sophie Lucas and Kolton Brown. After becoming involved in student leadership and community service, Kolton developed the idea for an organization focused on strengthening communities across Georgia through service, outreach, and leadership. 

At the time of GCA’s founding, Kolton was 17 and Sophie was 18, proving that leadership and community impact can begin at any age with any impact. Sophie, a student at Georgia Southwestern State University and member of the Jimmy Carter Leadership Program, helped bring the organization to life alongside Kolton.
